South Buxton Raceway, June 9, 2007
The night was a comfortable 22C, at sun set. A great night for racing at SBR. The 95.1 racer started in the front row of heat 2. No contest, simply put. The track was in decent shape. We were unable to run the Pursuit race because the we missed the feature race last week. The Pursuit race race consists of last weeks top ten finishers in order of 10th to 1st, with last weeks winner at the rear. The object is not to get passed. Once you get past, you must leave the track. This was just in case you did not know. "FILLER". In the feature race the 95.1 car started mid field. The perfect night for racing went sour early in the race. A collision with another car in turn 2 initiated a handling problem. The car got very loose. A few laps latter, we spun out in turn3/4. A bad slide down the banking collected another car and blow to the right side. Ouch! We were able to continue but the car was extremely lose. From the pits I could see the front right wheel was tilted inward much more than normal. Cornstocker (driver) decided to call it a night as the car handled poorly. The problem: a broken upper A arm shaft. We finished 8th. See you all next week. I'II leave you with this most excellent quote;
